Below you will find answers to many common questions about Giving Day 2019.
What is Giving Day?
Giving Day 2019 is Illinois Tech's fourth Giving Day. This 48-hour campaign is a global effort to inspire alumni, parents, students, faculty, staff, and friends of Illinois Institute of Technology to make a gift to any area of the university.
Running in tandem with Pi Day, from March 14 - 15, Giving Day is an opportunity to directly support your favorite area of Illinois Tech while participating in the excitement of real-time updates on our progress, social media sharing, and fun with the Illinois Tech community. This year Giving Day is extra special since it will be jam-packed with references to Pi, π, and pie. Make your gift today so that you don't out on a slice of the action!
Why Pi Day?
Pi Day is celebrated on March 14th (3.14) around the world. It is an annual opportunity for math and science enthusiasts to recite the infinite digits of Pi, talk to their friends about math, and to eat pie. We figured we might as well join in the fun by combining two great traditions: Illinois Tech Giving Day and Pi Day. Help us to unleash the power of pi with your gift today.
Why should I participate in Giving Day 2019?
When you donate on Giving Day, the impact of your gift increases thanks to the generosity of our challenge donors. We need everyone in the Illinois Tech community to come together to help unlock thousands of dollars in challenge gifts. Every donation, no matter the size, will add up to make a big difference.
Illinois Tech students, faculty, and alumni are helping to change the world. By making a gift on Giving Day, you’ll be helping the Illinois Tech community do more! Do we need your support and for you to help us spread the word? Tech Yeah, we do!
